HMVF are working with The NORMANDY VETERANS ASSOCIATION, or NVA for short, to help in their campaign to raise £300,000. This would enable them to send at least 1000 veterans back to the invasion beaches for the 65th anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 2009. They want to be able to stand along side their fellow US and Canadian brothers in arms. For most this will be their last time as age and health is taking its toll.

Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society, or IMPS, is first and foremost a society of enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation and restoration of military vehicles from all periods, but mainly from WW 1 to the present day, regardless of the nation which produced or used them.
The club takes part in many rallies and commemorative events each year and is keeping a part of history alive; the response from veterans of some of the conflicts is usually of pleasure and interest that these vehicles, and by association, they themselves have not been forgotten.
The annual War and Peace Show at Beltring in Kent is held each July and is the world's biggest military vehicle, militaria, and re-enactor event. Open to the public, the show is an established partnership between IMPS and the Hop Farm. Vehicles of all ages and types are welcome.

Help For Heroes has become, in the words of the Prime Minister, a ´National Institution´ and its hard to believe they only started in October 2007. Since then they have raised £1 million a month to help support our wounded servicemen and women injured in current conflicts.
